John Deere John Deere Power
Tech marine engines are some of the most powerful on the water with
solid, deliverable torque in the useable operating range. In addition,
they are compact and quiet. Whether you are building a new boat
or re-powering an existing one, John Deere 4- and 6-cylinder in
line diesel engine from 75 to 450 hp (56 to 336kW) are available
for propulsion, auxiliary and generator applications.

M1
For propulsion applications that operate up to24 hours a day at uninterrupted
full power. These applications typically operate for over 3,000 hours
per year. The M1 rating includes ISO8665 "standard power"
and the SAEJ1228 "crankshaft power" ratings. M2
For propulsion applications that utilize full power up to 16 hours
of each 24-hour period of operation. These applications typically
operate at full power as much as 65 percent of the time, and accumulate
up to 3,000 hours per year. M3
For propulsion applications that utilize full power in up to four
hours of each 24-hour period of operation. These applications typically
operate at full power as much as 35 percent of the time, and accumulate
up to 2,000 hours per year.
M4
For propulsion applications that utilize full power for no more than
an hour in each 12-hour period of operation. These applications typically
operate at full power only 15 percent of the time and accumulate up
to 800 hours per year. M5
For propulsion applications that utilize full power up to 30 minutes
in each 6-hur period of operation. These applications typically operate
at full power only 8 percent of the time, and accumulate up to 300
hours per year. |
